The information on the cards is correct, I've been using them to study and I feel semi-confident that I know my materials. My only complaints are that you have to separate the cards yourself and that the cards are basically paper. It would be nice if they came already separated and maybe laminated.
This book certainly provides a lot of information.
I find the way the beginning of the book is structured explaining a variety of concepts is quite helpful. I also feel that the explanation as to why an answer is correct or incorrect quite useful.
As I continue to use this book, I have found it to be even more helpful. You can access the Mometrix Academy for a variety of topics for which you want additional clarification. From here, all you need to do is put in the provided code and you are able to view a video.
**DOES NOT INCLUDE DSM 5**I purchased this in advance of taking my clinical social worker exam. This book is run of the mill, and really just outlines most of the competencies on the test and brief summations. I did like the practice exam in the book. I found the last few pages particularly informative, as it relates to the test taking strategies, however I did not use them on the test. I would say this was beneficial to use in conjunction with other study guides and study media.
Bought the ATAS Study Guide and was very disappointed. There were several problems with the book 1. The "review" information had nothing to so with the topics of the practice test questions; 2. There were blatant typos in numerous questions that made it impossible to understand what was being asked; 3. The answer key frequently identified the incorrect letter as the right answer (confirmed by reading the explanation, where they would state a different correct answer); 4. Several reading passages were missing words or parts of sentences and could not be read in order to answer the comprehension questions.
Overall just very sloppy editing. What a waste of money. Better to spend a little more on a different review book.
Thin, cheap, perforated paper. I was anticipating sturdy, coated cards like those we have received in Spanish flashcards ordered from . Very disappointed in the quality. The first attempted to separate the cards resulted in tearing one. Will definitely be investing in an online study program for the MSW exam.
These questions are nothing like the ones that appear on the exam. Many of these are recall based (e.g. "Whose theory is this? What is the focus of this model?") instead of logic based (e.g. "What should you do first?") like the ones on the real ASWB exam.
These flashcards are a repetition of what is in the ASWB Masters Exam SECRETS. If you buy one there is no need to buy the other. They are exactly the same. I made the mistake of buying both and I regret. So please do not waste your money. Its better though to buy the ASWB SECRETS than the Flashcards.
